Etienne, Master Tarot and Palm reader, who works at Lakshmi's Circle in Kyneton, writes of his love of Kyneton.

Kyneton is one of my favourite country towns in Victoria – it is a real jewel in the crown!Tarot in Kyneton

When my twins were young, each Christmas eve we’d come up to Kyneton to do our shopping, have lunch and see the houses lit up and decorated in the evening.

Kyneton is a hidden treasure – great hotels, and remarkable restaurants, which offer a wide choice for diners. The flowers in Kyneton florists always seem fresher and brighter, and you can always find a parking spot! Kyneton proves that a small town can offer great ambience and a wide range of retail opportunities at the same time.

I’ve read Tarot and palms all over the world – but one of my favourite spots for reading is at Lakshmi’s Circle in Kyneton – even the name takes me back to India, where I learnt palmistry in 1966.

Why do I like Kyneton? Good people, good food, great shops and great services! Not the least of which is Ashby’s Larder, coffee shop and delicatessen, right next door to Lakshmi’s Circle where I read palms and Tarot, at 43B High Street, Kyneton. Phone 03 5422 6315.

Kyneton
Kyneton, 86km north of Melbourne, is an attractive historic town featuring 19th-century bluestone architecture. Small-scale manufacturing and farming boomed in the 1850s and 1860s in the rush to feed the thousands of miners who flocked to the district.
