Trout Opening Season September 1st 2007 Stocking update

by Dave Fregon posted on 2007-08-30 20:37 last modified 2007-08-30 20:37 —
Well it's that time of year again, trout opening season, after a winter of being restricted to lakes and pondage, rivers are once again open this weekend for trout fishing.

There's been stocking by the DPI of most of the major lakes, which feed the rivers, so this weekends opening should be fun for one and all.

Since the introduction of the all-waters Recreational Fishing Licence in 1999, more than 180 projects totalling over $6 million have been funded to improve freshwater and saltwater fishing opportunities throughout Victoria.
