Enjoying Ardrossan B&B and the beautiful Mudgee countryside

Dru and Maurie, Chester Springs, PA. USA "Dear Susan and Ed, We had a wonderful rest of our trip. And so we are home, basking in the memories and looking at the photos. Some of our very best memories are the 24 hours we spent with you. What fun to put you two in a place, to meet Chavaleh, to see Mudgee and to find kangaroos and explore the wineries. We feel so good about the two of you. Mudgee is an enchanting place to live. Definitely an Australian destination.

Thank you so much for showing us such a wonderful time. I have no photo, but one of the pictures vivid in my mind is the delightful tour of Gulgong, coming home to gin and tonics, then wine and the late dinner prepared by you and Chavaleh, your charming guests and then....on cue.....the almost full moon rise right through the middle of your trees over the patio as the grand finale. It was perfect! That picture will last longer than any of the photos I have. I also think about our leisurely breakfast the next day, the wineries, art gallery, and shops where you and Ed know everybody.

The lunch in the patio garden was divine and the sunshine sparkling. I appreciated your gardens, they are just lovely, the roses so regal and the border soft with unusual textures, colors and shapes. I know how much work it all takes and don't know how you keep up. The other memory of which I have no photo is your bird feeder morning, noon and night with the many varieties of exotic wonderful birds which visit you. That was amazing enough to make a special trip.

Thank you for staying in touch, we're so glad we finally got to Australia and wouldn't have missed Mudgee for anything. It is a charming town, and you two are the perfect ambassadors. Have a wonderful New Year and thank you for ending our 2004 so perfectly. We treasure the memories. Love Dru and Maurie."
