5 muscovy ducklings out and about today, in the sunshine, with their mum, princess Narda. The teenagers born at Christmas are having lots of fun splashing in the lake under the watchful eyes of the 5 geese who are disapproving. Jesus the alpaca, who is supposed to guard the Damara lambs, spent much of today rolling in a dust bath he's created. Have started to feed him in a bucket and while his head is down, I can pick the burrs off his soft wool. I can see why people want more alpacas. They are very amusing and you can make lovely soft clothing from their wool. 2 homing pigeon babies almost ready to leave the nest. Dad is the major care giver and feeds pigeon milk into their peeping beaks. Always someting being born here at Ardrossan B&B.
