Prime Ministers Sculptures, Botanic Gardens, Ballarat

I remember being impressed by the sculpture garden in Ballarat's Botanic Gardens containing brass, I think, busts or heads of Australia's Prime Ministers.

On a scout around of information, including a map of the gardens (are they botanic or botanical ?), Australia's 25 prime ministers are all lined up on The Prime Ministers Avenue. Apparently, the avenue began with six busts of Australia's first Prime Ministers unveiled at a ceremony on 2 March 1940, an anniversary date, by the way, for the election of the Howard Government in 1996, also on 2 March. Howard, it makes sense, is the last of the Avenue's Prime Ministers. The donor was the Ballarat-born politician, Richard Crouch. A web site which appears to be a respectable source is http://www.ballarathistory.org/gardpmav.html
