Bundaberg
- Surrounded by sugarcane fields, this city, which has many fine examples of Queensland architecture, is the southernmost approach to the Great Barrier Reef. Bundaberg, 368km north of Brisbane, is an important centre in the rich Burnett River plains. The Burnett River runs through the city and flows out into the ocean 11km beyond Bundaberg.
