Hay
- Almost surrounded by the Murrumbidgee River, Hay lies in the middle of flat saltbush plains, 726km SW of Sydney. The plains support merino flocks producing medium-fine wools. Although wool is the main industry, there is also dairying, and irrigation allows fruit and vegetable growing. Many world-famous sheep studs are located here, including Mungadal, Uardry and Cedar Grove.
