How do I publish a Photo or Article I am happy with?

How do I get my photos and articles on the front page, and other pages throughout the site such as towns, regions and states?
When you create something, it is available to yourself, and anyone knowing the URL, but doesn't show in the listings until it is published.
This allows you to work on a piece, before others have a good chance of finding it, and rating your work when it's not 'finished' for example.
When you are happy with a Photo or and Article, you can submit it to be published, by clicking the 'state' dropdown on the top right of any content you have access too, and choosing submit.
Our editorial team will publish the item asap, basically just making sure it's not offensive!
