The River Retreat offers a range of performances and activities designed to entertain and educate. The River Retreat has developed a natural riverside amphitheatre. Set under the giant River Gums, this campfire area is the perfect canvas on which the stories of The Dreamtime and early Colonial Settlement can be experienced. Didgeridoo, dancing and stories around the campfire, crocodile, emu and kangaroo, and vegetarian bush food tastings, tools and weapons talk and demonstration all this and much more is included in Didge After Dark and Taste of Didge. Subject to weather, Taste of Didge can be held indoors.

Scheduled performances and activities include:

"Didge After Dark" available Saturday evenings during summer. At dusk join us for “Didge After Dark� an Australian Bush tucker barbecue with Australian bush foods with entertainment from our Swagman. Then walk to the riverbank joining the local aboriginal people around the fire pit to share the stories of this land and their meaning. Local indigenous performers demonstrate to you the dance and culture of the their people which is a living window back to the Dreamtime.

" Taste of Didge " available Wednesday evenings, come experience a taste of Aboriginal culture, didgeridoo playing and traditional Australian bush food (with a modern twist). The evening includes a welcome song, didgeridoo playing, story telling and bushfood temptings. During summer months the didgeridoo playing is around the campfire. Held indoors during winter months.

Also available on site is four star self contained accommodation, The River Retreat which is suited to families.
