The Kimberley Writers Festival, now in its 4th year, is a major event on the community calendar and is hosted by the Kununurra Community library. This annual Festival, held across a weekend in June, features authors, illustrators, musicians and songwriters from throughout Australia and highlights the unique Kimberley landscape as a backdrop for creativity, inspiration and literary, musical and artistic stories.

Visitors are welcome, and have the opportunity to explore and appreciate the amazing Kimberley landscape. Accommodation options range from four star resorts to caravan or camping. The Kununurra Visitors Centre can help with travel and accommodation arrangements.

The Kimberley Writers Festival presents a stunning opportunity to engage with one of the most remote and pristine landscapes on earth while enjoying a meaningful cultural event.
