Founded in 1995 in New Zealand, KEA became quickly the pre-eminent leader in the campervan and motorhome industry. KEA’s mission is to exceed the expectations of the modern, most discerning traveller.

In October 2000 KEA expanded its business activities to Australia. KEA operates the youngest, most modern fleet, both in Australia and New Zealand. The average vehicle age is under one year – the maximum age is two years.

KEA depots in Australia are located in Broome, Perth, Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin, Melbourne and Sydney. In New Zealand the depots are in Auckland and Christchurch.

The extensive depot network gives KEA customers total freedom to travel to and from many different places. KEA excels not only in offering our renters the very best service both at the depot but also on-road. KEA’s highly skilled, multi-lingual customer services team welcomes customers in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner.

Our services reach from personalised tour planning to vehicle handling. Our professional and experienced vehicle maintenance back-up teams ensure a comfortable and safe journey.

Our customers appreciate that we offer a product of unparalleled value at an affordable price. Each vehicle is kept in prime condition by a stringent maintenance programme and a detailed checking process each time it returns to the depot. This means greater on-road reliability, less maintenance problems and better environmental protection.

In keeping with KEA’s proactive philosophy towards rental vehicle safety, we decided to offer with each of the Australian four wheel drives (4WD) vehicles a map based GPS Navigation System, a Radio Safety Beacon and an extensive vehicle Recovery Kit.

These extras ensure that the renter, when needed, can receive help in the shortest time possible. In 2001, KEA installed a new generation fleet management and reservation system, which allows travel organisations to make on-line bookings.
