Broome races are a must for any visitor to the Kimberley. A very competitive country horse racing combined with local entertainment and other attractions to provide an afternoon and evening of fun, glamour and romance. Two Up and Gaming after the races with live bands and dancing into the balmy Kimberley evenings.

The day provides a multicultural mixture of locals and tourists rubbing shoulders in the betting and two up rings while others dance the day away. Excellent crowds enjoy the wonderful weather of the Broome dry season in the comfort of the well shaded public facilities. Racing is fast and furious with very good prize money on offer to food fields of quality racehorses.

Broome racing has managed to maintain the typical country picnic atmosphere, whilst incorporating very pleasant and comfortable open air facilities, plenty of food and bars, great racing and a friendly social atmosphere.
