Canowindra Cottage offers country accommodation at Lachlan near New Norfolk, north west of Hobart. The cottage is surround by gardens, farmlands and native bush.

Canowindra Cottage offers spacious accommodation for three guests, it has full kitchen facilities including microwave oven, woodheater, television, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, and barbeque facilities.

At Canowindra Cottage you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surrounds, in the evening sit by a a cosy wood fire, or go for a short stroll outside where your sure to meet some of the wildlife. In the morning be awakened by the native birds welcoming the new day.

The historic town of New Norfolk is close by and offers a combination of history and picturesque scenery. There are many historic buildings, including Australia’s oldest continually licensed hotel the Bush Inn (c.1815).

For the adventurous try a jet boat ride over the Derwent River rapids. North of New Norfolk visit the Salmon Ponds and Trout Museum at Plenty, and why not indulge in some pancakes while your there before travelling further north to visit Mt Field National Park.
