Transit Centre Backpackers offers hostel style accommodation right in the central business district of Hobart.

Transit Centre Backpackers is so convenient if you travel to Hobart by bus. You need only walk upstairs to the modern, clean facilities of this quality budget accommodation located above the Redline Coach terminal. Of course others are welcome too!

Enjoy the company and atmosphere as you share the modern kitchen facilities, and lounge areas with other friendly travellers. There are laundry facilities, lock up baggage storage, and free tea and coffee. There are nine dormitories with shared bathroom facilities and they accommodate 60 people.

At Transit Centre Backpackers you need only come downstairs and step outside and within a few minutes be amidst the pubs, cafes, fine restaurants, cinemas, shops and parks. When you want to go on your way, simply step onto another bus and off you go. There’s the whole wonderful island to explore, and each destination is no more than a days journey away.
