Built in the 1890s, Kinvara House has been fully renovated to create an ultra-modern, spacious (over 250 square metres) holiday home, with sweeping views of the city and Derwent River. The property has two queen-size bedrooms with views of the garden through bay windows. There is a fully-equipped laundry, an ensuite and separate bathroom with a claw foot bath and a state-of-the-art kitchen. The living room has an open fireplace and there is also remote-controlled heating and air conditioning. The study has a computer, Internet access, fax and telephone and there is also a television, DVD and stereo. Kinvara House is fully fenced with off-street parking and a front door intercom system. There is an outdoor barbecue area and private balcony with outdoor setting.

Guests are provided with a welcome breakfast basket, which includes cereals, free range eggs, and fresh Tasmanian bread and jams. Locally-made fudge and a bottle of award-winning Tasmanian sparkling wine is also provided. Kinvara House also supports local artists; works by well-known Tasmanian artists have been hung throughout the property, and are available for purchase.
