Central Highlands Trail Rides operate guided horseback tours at Golden Valley near Deloraine, northern Tasmania. Experience the natural wilderness of the highland region on the back of your horse.

The riding tours cater for all riding abilities. There is a short three-hour ride around the western face of Quamby Bluff. This ride follows a scenic route with sweeping views of the mountains near the quaint village of Deloraine. Longer rides are also available including day, overnight and extended rides around Tasmania’s central plateau. The day and overnight rides involve climbing the Western Tiers mountain range on mountain horses and riding across the central plateau. A minimum of two people is necessary for the three-hour ride, and four or more riders are required for longer rides.

Combine a central highland horseback tour with other northern Tasmanian experiences including a trip to Cradle Mountain and perhaps a walk around stunning Dove Lake. Visit Mole Creek Karst National Park and enjoy a guided tour of the limestone caves.

Golden Valley is about 45-minutes’ drive (55 kilometres/34 miles) from Launceston.
