Return to Victor Harbor

Only three kilometres from the centre of Victor Harbor, Close Encounters Bed and Breakfast is a new Tuscan style villa set on six acres of native gardens including over 40 varieties of cut flowers. It has majestic views over looking Encounter Bay, Granite Island, the Causeway and distant views of the Coorong.

Relax on the verandah with your glass of wine and appreciate the beauty of South Australia's premier playground.

The villa is spacious and elegant with regal fittings. Enjoy its romantic ambience with a beautiful four-poster queen size bed and a two-person oval therapy spa. Take advantage of its full kitchen facilities including gas hot plates and oven. Maximum number of guests is four.

If feeling more energetic, take a drive to the wineries of the Southern Vales, Langhorne Creek or Currency Creek. Alternatively explore historic Goolwa and the Murray Mouth or hop on the Steam Ranger train or the famous horse-drawn tram to Granite Island to see the penguins. We are only 59 kilometres from the Kangaroo Island ferry.

During summer the climate is generally mild to warm (five to 15 degrees Celsius cooler than Adelaide).

All attractions - fishing, swimming, bike riding, bush walking, playing golf on one of South Australia's top courses or whale watching in winter - are within easy reach of Close Encounters Bed and Breakfast, Victor Harbor.

Special massage pamper packages available - see our website for details.
