Enter the only fishing competition in Kakadu National Park.

The Aurora Kakadu Klash is the only fishing competition held in World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, which is rich with many species. Fishing takes place on the South Alligator River and is conducted on a catch, photograph and release basis. Specially designed measuring boards are provided to all vessels at the start of this three-day competition and each boat receives a disposable camera to record the larger fish caught. These photographs will be used as verification of all competition winners. The competition is only open to 35 boats, at the request of the traditional owners of Kakadu National Park.
