The Arafura Games, held in Darwin, is a sporting event for developing athletes across the Asia Pacific region and beyond. The Marrara Oval in Darwin is the venue for the opening ceremony, including the lighting of the cauldron. There is spectacular entertainment and warming displays of friendship and festivities during the ceremonies.
