Lorella Springs - Borroloola
Lorella Springs is a natural hot thermal spring, bubbling and cascading thousands of litres of water from a picturesque pandanus-lined rockhole in a gap in the Tawallah Ranges. The springs are the head waters of the unspoiled Rosie River, which winds about a hundred kilometres through rugged and spectacular terrain to eventually flow through to the coast of the Gulf of Carpentaria.
A section of the spring has been cleared and converted to a natural hot water swimming pool which some people say has healing properties. Located on the Lorella Springs Station, on the road between Roper Bar and Borroloola, it is accessible by four wheel drive only.
