Return to Coffs Harbour

This route travels mostly through the Orara East and Lower Bucca State Forests and shares part of the route with the Wedding Bells Forest Drive. The drive gives a diverse look at the forests of the Coffs Harbour area, passing through many different types of forest. It goes to Mt Coramba where every extensive view of the coast and surrounding countryside are experienced.

Because of its commanding height, the mountain is the site of the Forestry Commission's main fire lookout tower for the Coffs Harbour area as well as Telstra Australia radio - telephone repeater station and radio bases for the Forestry Commission, local shire & the Police. The steep slopes around the peak support a rich diversity of tree species: hoop pine, dry rainforest, dry blackbutt, plus tallowwood/Sydney blue gum and grey gum/grey ironbark forest types.
