Return to Byron Bay

The Byron Bay Film Festival (BBFF) is an initiative of the Byron Community and Cultural Centre and local filmmakers.

The Byron Bay and Northern NSW region is home to many filmmakers and so when the inaugural Byron Bay Film Festival was held in February 2006, it focused solely on Australian films and the back catalogue of local filmmakers.

Byron Bay is a magnet for people from all around the globe and so it seemed fitting that BBFF should evolve into an International Film Festival in its second year, in 2007.
