Phil Short

Hi, I'm Phil Short and together with Mel Mason, we built and operate the deluxe 4 star Ross Motel in Ross Tasmania. Ross is a small, historic village in the heart of Tasmania and is famous for it's sandstone bridge and convict-built cottages. We moved here in 2001 to buy the incredibly beautiful Ross Post Office. Whilst operating this business we were asked by so many people why there was no motel in Ross. So we decided to rectify this and planned what is now the 11 unit 4 star deluxe motel facing the Macquarie river in Ross. Tourists love the atmosphere in Ross - it's just like stepping back in time - the street is lined with 100 year-old English Elm trees, old sandstone buildings, tempting bakeries, antique and gift shops.
