G'day I'm Scottie, founder of Australian Bush Spices. I am passionate about food and Australia so I have made it my mission in life to make my business pursuits a natural blend of the two. I was introduced to the use of bush spices in cooking in the late 1990s and have spent countless hours, exploring this vast land to discover more about our native flora and how bush spices were used in traditional cooking. My passion for food is equaled by my passion for this country and I spend as much time as possible travelling to different locations. I hope that some of my experiences might be of interest to readers who share my interest for local produce.

Ever wondered how animals get along with snakes in the wild? We saw a Brown Snake slither calmly past one of our favourite Koalas, while she was drinking at a waterhole in the You Yangs near Melbourne.

The picturesque Meander River flows around the outskirt of the town, as you drive past you may see the enthusiastic fishermen trying their luck with catching rainbow or brown trout.
