DESTINATION: KellerberrinWheat and sheep farming are the mainstays of this small country township. Kellerberrin is located along the Great Eastern Hwy 203km from Perth. Main AttractionsThe town's International Art Space Kellerberrin Australia (IASKA) features international and national contemporary artists on 3-month residencies; the nation's only gallery of its kind. A Folk Museum of local memorabilia is situated in the old Agricultural Hall and a 2hr Heritage Trail takes in notable sites, including Kellerberrin Hill Lookout. Farming implements and machinery displayed around Pioneer Park provide an interesting backdrop for picnics. Centenary Park in the centre of town has shaded playground equipment, BBQs, in-line skate and BMX tracks, a heritage walkway and maze. |

Constructed from local field stone in 1871, Milligan Homestead, located 10km north on Trayning Rd, is an example of building methods of the period (private property). A massive granite outcrop, Kokerbin Rock, 30km south, is reputed to be Australia's third largest monolith and has a vehicle access road to the top of the rock. Great views are also assured from Mount Stirling and Mount Caroline, 22km south. Kellerberrin's countryside is covered in wildflowers during spring, but 2 particular places to enjoy the flora are Durakoppin Wildlife Sanctuary, 27km north, and Charles Gardner NP, 35km SW.
