Donnybrook

Originally a timber town, and for a short period a gold town. Today, Donnybrook, 210km south of Perth, is a mixed farming area known for its horticulture and orchards especially its apples.

The Old Goldfields Orchard and Cider Factory, 5km south, offers tours of its orchard and cider factory and has picnic areas, a restaurant, a goldmine and gold-panning facilities. Two potteries in the area are Cedar Shed, 10km SE, and Old Stables Pottery, 25km SE. Balingup, 30km SE, is a hub for arts and crafts, including The Old Cheese Factory craft centre, Village Pedlars home crafts and Tinderbox herb products. Nearby are the Golden Valley Tree Park, and Birdwood Park Fruit Winery on Nannup Rd.
