Summerland Beach, 11km SW on the southern shore, is best known for its nightly little penguin parade. The penguins are the world's smallest and they nest on the island. These delightful little creatures can be seen from a specially constructed viewing area. Bookings are essential in peak season. Seal Rocks Sea Life Centre has marine displays and colonies of fur seals on Seal Rocks, 13km SW, can be viewed live on the centre's giant screen. The centre is open daily, 10am-dusk. On the south-west corner of the island, in Berrys Beach Rd, Phillip Island Winery is open daily for tastings and cellar door sales. At the Koala CR, visitors walk around the reserve on elevated boardwalks for the best view of koalas in a natural habitat.
