Dominating the town is the Shrine of Remembrance clock tower in Reibey St. There are 4 memorial parks: Tobruk Park in Hobbs Pde; Anzac Park by the River Leven; Legion Park in West Ulverstone; and HMAS Shropshire Naval Memorial Park in Dial St. Fairway Park has an adventure playground and a giant waterslide in summer. The History Museum in Main St displays local memorabilia in the form of shop windows (open Tue, Thurs and weekends). The NW Woodcraft Guild Workshop and Gallery is open Tue, Thurs and Sat. A lookout off Upper Maud St in West Ulverstone gives views across the river to the Bass Strait beaches. |
