Stansbury

Located on the Yorke Peninsula, halfway between Port Vincent and Edithburgh, Stansbury looks across Oyster Bay to the waters of Gulf St Vincent. Stansbury is a pleasant holiday destination nurturing a growing tourist industry. Grain-growing and pastoral activities and the state's largest limestone quarry at Klein Point, also support the local economy.


Main Attractions

The School House Museum is located in historic Stansbury school (1878) on North Tce, and offers a look into 19th-century education. Jetty fishing is a popular activity and in May, the Sheep Dog Trials draw quite a crowd.

About 15km NW, Lake Sundown is, as the name implies, absolutely stunning at sunset. Klein's Point Quarry is located 5km south and has daily tours of the limestone quarry.
