Located 67km north of Cairns, Port Douglas is situated on the Coral Sea coastline with a backdrop of tropical mountains. With its close proximity to Australia's most popular tourist destinations, the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation, and the Great Barrier Reef, Port Douglas has become an internationally renowned tourist destination.

Port Douglas offers restaurants, art galleries, excellent shops, historic buildings, nightclubs, golf courses and beaches. The superb Rainforest Habitat, on Port Douglas Rd, is a wildlife sanctuary with a focus on biological conservation. Flagstaff Hill, Murphy St, offers panoramic views of Four Mile Beach and Low Isles. Lady Douglas, a paddlewheeler, offers cruises of Dickson Inlet.
