DESTINATION: Curtin Springs Curtin Springs is a working cattle station and Wayside Inn located on the Lasseter Highway just 84 kilometres east of Yulara, at the edge of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The Severin family offer the unique hospitality that has made them a legend in the NT. The family took over in 1956 and still operate the station today. The family installed petrol pumps and a small store to become a key stop when Len Tuit started tourism in the Uluru / Ayres Rock area. Main AttractionsCurtin Springs Station provide fuel, cold beer, snacks, souvenirs and wonderful meals from the homestead kitchen which are served under the historic Bough Shed, the original homestead. Accommodation is available in budget or ensuite rooms, with powered sites or free camping in the campground. Curtin Springs Station offer an affordable option, to base yourself at Curtin Springs and explore the Uluru / Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon, Watarrka National Park areas. |
