Lake Bennett Wilderness Resort, 25km NE, offers fishing, swimming, windsurfing, boating, bushwalking and accommodation. Swimming is also popular at Rum Jungle Lake, 10km west. Litchfield NP, a magnificent wilderness area, is 20km to the west. Most of Litchfield's main attractions, such as the magnetic termite mounds, Florence, Tolmer and Wangi falls and Buley Rockhole can be accessed via the sealed Litchfield Park Rd. A 4WD is required to reach the unusual and enticing sandstone rock formations of The Lost City, Tjaynera Falls and the ruins of the old Blyth Homestead; during the Wet season the tracks can become impassable and may be closed. The park has rainforest walks and camping grounds.
