The good surfing beaches around Terrigal include Wamberal Beach, 3km north; and Avoca Beach, 7.5km south. Half-way between Terrigal and Gosford is Erina Fair, the largest shopping centre on the Central Coast. Also at Erina is the Fragrant Garden, specialising in scented herbs and perfumed oils. Matcham Valley is a picturesque area just 8km from Terrigal Beach. Ken Duncan's Australia Wide Gallery is located here and well worth visiting. Ken Duncan is one of Australia's leading landscape photographers. The Central Park Family Fun Centre has a waterslide, fun cars and BBQ facilities. It is located 6km north at Forresters Beach.
