Nundle, in the Hills of Gold, is an old gold-mining town with many original buildings to admire and craft shops to browse through. There is a re-created goldmine to inspect and many scenic outlooks in the district. Lake Keepit is located 57km west of Tamworth and is the place for powerboats, waterskiing and fishing. There are also children's facilities and a caravan park.
