DESTINATION: Sussex InletA very popular holiday destination for families, Sussex Inlet is located on the channel that connects St Georges Basin with the Pacific Ocean. Sussex Inlet has not escaped the trend of residential canal development, which has almost made it an island but fortunately has not spoilt the charm of this peaceful town. Main AttractionsSussex Inlet is famous among anglers for its very good fishing; a fishing carnival is held here annually during the July school holidays. South of the town-ship, the beaches at Berrara and Cudmirrah provide some great surfing. The local golf course is a drawcard for visiting golfers who don't mind sharing the fairways with kangaroos and other wildlife. |
