Sawtell

A resort town with surfing beaches, quiet swimming spots, excellent fishing, boating and camping sites, Sawtell is 537km north of Sydney. Coffs Harbour and all its attractions are only 8km further north.


Main Attractions

There are original buildings in Sawtell's main street reflecting the history of the area. The old Sawtell Hotel remains as does the picture theatre which shows both classic and modern movies. Boambee Creek Reserve has picnic and BBQ facilities. The reserve behind Sawtell Beach is also a popular picnic area.

Coffs Harbour Butterfly House and Maze is home to hundreds of colourful Australian butterflies in a subtropical rain-forest setting. There is also a maze, delightful gardens and a tearoom. Located on the Pacific Hwy at Bonville, the Butterfly House and Maze is open every day except Monday.
