DESTINATION: Dorrigo

Dorrigo

This North Coast timber town lies 40km west of Coffs Harbour. Dorrigo is a relaxed and friendly town set amidst majestic scenery.

Main Attractions

Dorrigo has 3 licensed clubs: the RSL and Bowling Club in Hickory St, and the Golf Club off Whiskey Creek Rd. All welcome visitors. Local artists display their work at the Art Place, an art gallery in Cudgery St. The Art of the Country, a craft gallery, is next door. Don Dorrigo Museum is run by the local historical society. Located in Myrtle St, it is open Tuesday, Friday, Sunday and all school holidays 11am-3pm. Griffith Lookout is probably the district's best view; looking over the mountains, out to sea and as far as Kempsey and Armidale. To reach it, turn off at the Waterfall Way, near Dorrigo Mountain Resort.
